Kenny Ford...MC Phoenix Folk Club.

After months of searching I finally found the negatives for the Portrait photos of Kenny Ford - Master of Ceremonies at the Phoenix Folk Club for many years, who sadly passed from us last year after a long illness.

The portraits of Kenny are among my best - all down to him. A great face, dignity, strength as well as being quite a handsome man too. he might even pass for a native American Indian.

Kenny loved folk and trad music and with the Phoenix Folk Club in Ballyfermot in the 1980s with Mick Coakley, the Doyle Brothers et al, he organised a folk clib of great quality. It became the benchmark for other Folk Clubs in terms of standard of Musicians & Singers that performed there to a respectful audience that appreciatived all the wonderful performers.
