Joe Carroll - Fiddle Player, raconteur and great friend of Liam Weldon, only picked up the fiddle [which he may have learned as a child] after he had heart surgery when he was in his late 60s. Liam always encouraged Joe to play and made sure that he was always invited to the gigs.

Joe was a regular at the Sunday Morning Sessions in the Brazen Head and used to drive me and Liam home safely after the gig. Joe sadly died in 2006.
