While stopped behind several other cars at the traffic lights in Palmerstown on St Stephen's Day - a speeding car rear-ended my car. Just me and my daughter Ciana were in our car but thankfully we walked away uninjured, just a bit shaken.

On impact our car was pushed at force into the car in front of us. We were sandwiched between both cars - both a Ford Focus which are built like tanks. Our car (A Daewoo Lanos) is really a write-off, but at least we are both safe and sound. There's hardly a mark on the other two cars...though The driver that rear-ended us fled the scene...

The rear passenger seats were shoved forward by the impact of the car coming almost through the boot of my car, and bouncing away. Luckily my youngest daughter Siún decided at last minute not to travel with us. She would have been badly injured otherwise...

Thankfully we escaped this time...next car will have 4 doors!
