It was a privilege for me down the years to be a friend of Frank Harte. When long before I moved to live in Chapelizod, where we were neighbours, Frank drove me safely home from Sessions in the Brazen Head or the Góilín Singers - from all the incarnations of the club in all the locations...at the end of each session he would always ask me if I was ok for getting home...I never took it for granted but always appreciated it. A lovely man indeed!
Franks generosity didn't stop there either...for anybody interested in Singing but shy or unsure of the words Frank was the ultimate Encourager. Most traditional singers have their own tales to tell of the help he gave them...to make them better singers or indeed to make them become a singer in the first place.
