This is a photo I took in Montague Street, in Dublin a few days ago - that's just off Harcourt Street. It's a painting / mural to be more correct with a drainpipe right through the middle of young cupid / Cherub/ Putti's face.
Brilliant execution by the modern (as in recently) artist - after Raphael's Sistine Madonna, where this petite figure is just a mere extract from the much larger picture...I took another photograph from a more obtuse angle to the drain-pipe and the distortion is bizarre, I'm not going to show that photo (I binned it!) as the whole point of the artistry was to wrap the image around the said pipe so that the distortion would not be visible when viewed from the front as this perspective is...I would otherwise do the present-day artist a dis-service - in fairness most Artist's if commissioned to paint this would surrender and say I'll just move everything forward beyond the pipe - but not this Artist! - so I'm not going to mess up his / her brilliant skill - wrap around a pipe - my hat is off to you! - unfortunately an Anon painter in Dublin - so I cannot identify the skilful genius.
