Queen puts a "Spanner in the works"...
Queen Elizabeth II & President Barak Obama visited Ireland in May 2011. The Gardaí, and the two foreign security services, made sure that every manhole cover in Dublin City, along their chosen driving routes, was lifted, examined, closed and sealed.
They were then sprayed with a yellow non-permanent paint using a spanner as a stencil! These were visible all over Dublin City, luckily the paint is beginning to fade away - this was one of the clearest I'd seen. I'm sure the street artist, Banksy would be proud!
