I took this photograph of Liam for an exhibition I was putting together called "Faces". It was taken in Studio on a Kowa Super 66 medium format film camera - shot in Black & White.
This particular shot was unposed - I just caught Liam in a naturally reflective mood between shots. Taken circa 1984 and was used as the cover photograph for Liam's last album - recorded for Cassette Tape only, which was produced by Tommy Sands and released after Liam's sad passing from us.
The late Tomás MacGiolla, a good friend of Liam, told me that he regarded this photograph was "the" iconic image of Liam Weldon. I'm humbled.
