Breffni was the name given to this Rooster which was living in the Brazen Head at the time.
I don't know if it was left behind by a French rugby party, as was suggested, but it was named Breffni by the barman - the late Dessie Smith, who hailed from Cavan also known as The Breffni county.
Frank I'd have to say was not too fond of this photograph, thinking it was "not a great one of me", but I reminded Frank it was not a photograph of him at all, but of Breffni - he was merely in the background and out of focus!
This photograph I'd have to say is a very popular favourite among the old Brazen Heads who have seen it!
Location: Brazen Head, Dublin - taken in 1980s
