Taken in Kilcock on the Royal Canal.
This shot was taken at 22.37 in the evening which is late for photography as it's usually profoundly dark, but there was just a hint of light from the last of twilight and a stray sodium street light falling on the scene.
This one took 25 seconds at f5 - 200 iso. The absence of any wind gave the camera a chance to absorb all the lovely colours along the canal bank. Over 25 seconds the slowly moving canal water adds a faint softness while the water reflects the cold blueness that is the hallmark of the day's end.
